Puedese, como dicho avemos, echar dos cantos llanos sobre el canto de organo, los quales se an de señalar por las manos o sobre el libro, y el que haze la tal abilidad cantara la quarta boz en este modo.
As stated above, two plainchants can be done upon a mensural melody, which must be pointed out with the hands or on the book, and the one who does such a skill shall sing the fourth voice in this manner.
Comme on l’a dit plus haut, on peut faire deux plains-chants sur le chant figuré, lesquels doivent être indiqués avec les mains ou sur le livre, et celui qui fait une telle habileté chantera la quatrième voix de la façon suivante.
